Channel League 2: Dos Pueblos, Pacifica, Buena
We had our first home meet of the season, hosting Dos Pueblos and Pacifica High Schools for the 2nd Channel League tri-meet. Several outstanding performances were turned in, highlighted by the girls varsity 4x100 relay effort. The team of Taylor Murphy, Madison Easter, Kami Rodriguez, and Chloe Williams broke the school record and dipped under 48 seconds for the first time with their 47.79 clocking! The boys also won their 4x100 relay in a season best of 44.03, with the "B" team finishing second - also under 45 seconds - with a 44.75 clocking! Sweeps were the order of the day, beginning with the boys JV 110 hurdles, with Jackson Traub (17.90), Cole Coyner (18.99), and Liam McKeown (18.99) going 1-3. Maxwell Daniel (PR 15.64), Tyler Pham (16.53), and Erick Guzman (17.98) completed the sweep in the varsity 110 hurdles. In the girls varsity 400, Madison Easter (59.91), Chloe Williams (62.98), and Kami Rodriguez (63.50) took the sweep, with Taylor Murphy (12.53 - 5th all time), Aubrey Easter (12.92 - 10th all time F/S), and Avery Murphy (13.17) commanding the girls varsity 100. Jackson Traub (48.30), Cole Coyner (49.05), and Liam McKeown (49.12) again took a sweep in the JV 300 hurdles. In the girls varsity 200, Taylor Murphy won in 26.31 to go to 9th all time, Aubrey Easter went 26.64 for 7th all time F/S, and Kami Rodriguez was 3rd at a season best 26.68. The other sweep on the day was recorded in the boys JV shot put, with Matthew Lidren (34-8.5), Colton Vargas (33-1), and Jose Bernabe-Fernandez (30-0) going 1-2-3. Other great performances abounded, with Logan Torres winning the 1600 at 4:34.89; Liliana Duarte taking the 800 in 2:31.77; Maxwell Daniel 1st in the 300 hurdles at 43.14; Breena Elliott 1st in the JV girls 300 H at 56.41; The girls JV 4x400 team winning in 4:40.78; the girls varsity 4x400 team 1st at 4:19.82; Wakine Molina staying consistent in the high jump with a 6-0 victory; Ian Fish 18-5 for first in the JV long jump; Chase Pritchard first in the varsity triple jump at 42-7, moving him to 10th all time! Colton Vargas first in the boys JV discus at 77-10, and Sierra Engel winning the girls varsity discus at 83-8. Other notable marks included Cole Kately, 3rd in the JV 1600 at 4:57.09; Mason Evans 2nd in the varsity boys 400 at 53.33; Avery Murphy 2nd in the varsity girls 300 hurdles in 50.40; and Chase Pritchard 2nd in the long jump at 19-10.75.
Simi Valley Invitational
We had several re-writes of the record books at the Simi Valley Invitational on Saturday. Leading the way again was Madison Easter, who won the invitational 100 meters and 200 meters with fast school record times. She took the 100 in 11.74, then came back to clock a 24.38 time in the 200, both races against very strong fields! Our school top ten lists were also given a workout, with Taylor Murphy (12.47 for 3rd all time) and Chloe Williams (12.48 for 4th all time) going 3rd and 5th in the seeded 100; Chloe taking 7th in the seeded 200 at 26.04, improving her 4th all time status; Aubrey Easter finishing 2nd in the rated 100 at 12.78 to move to =6th on the all time Frosh/Soph list; and Jaxon Roberts finishing at 11.44 in the rated boys 100 to move to =9th on the all time Frosh/Soph boys list! We had several top 6 placings in the meet, with the boys 4x100 relay winning the rated race at 44.51; the girls 4x100 relay taking 3rd in the invitational race at 48.02; Wakine Molina placing 4th in the invitational boys high jump at 5-10; Kasey Maquinalez 5th in the rated girls shot put at 23-8; and 6th place finishes by Logan Torres in the boys invite 3200 (9:52.34), Kami Rodriguez in the girls rated 100 (12.80), and Chase Pritchard in the seeded long jump (18-8.5) and invite triple jump (39-7).

Gordon Steward Frosh/Soph Classic 2024
The 32nd annual Gordon Steward F/S Classic will take place on Saturday,
April 20th this year. This is a great end of season meet for your frosh/soph athletes
where they will compete against their class level peers (freshman and sophomore races in most events) for PRs and hardware! See information links below:
